Biography

Pelin Kayman was born in Bursa in 1991 and her hometown is Çanakkale. She completed her undergraduate education in 2017 and her graduate education in 2020. During her master’s education, she prepared a project on “The Clinical Characteristics of Sexual Abuse and the Investigation of Its Negative Effects on the Child”. In addition to her theoretical training in Schema Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, she conducted supervised client interviews. Afterwards, she received the education of the EMDR school and worked mainly on Trauma subjects. During her undergraduate education, she received Psychological test trainings for both adult and child age groups, and besides her participation in various conferences and symposiums, she attended visits as a trainee psychologist in Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, inpatients department, made evaluation interviews, patient follow-up and formulation. After completing her undergraduate education, she worked in a rehabilitation center with different developing children and their families. After working as a psychologist for more than a year, she took part in the UNHCR Project of the United Nations High Commissioner at the Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants, with refugees with a history of trauma such as LGBT, lone women, women victims of violence, unaccompanied children: Torture, domestic violence, she has gained experience in her working life in heavy subjects such as boat accidents, rape, substance use, neglect and abuse. Finally, it provided voluntary support to people who were severely affected by the fire and flood disaster in our country. As of October 2021, She had started to work in Madalyon Psychiatry Center.

She is a member of EMDR Association, Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Association and Turkish Psychologists Association.

  • 9-10-11 December / 16-17-18 December 2021, Dr Alp Karaosmanoğlu completed Schema Therapy International Certification Training and supervisions.
