She completed her undergraduate education in the Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in the USA. During the training, she worked as a research assistant in an active laboratory founded by Prof. Dr. Dorothy Espelage, which conducts research on children and adolescents who have been exposed to peer bullying and provides social support.
She graduated from Işık University in the field of Clinical Psychology with her thesis on “Awareness, Knowledge Level and Evaluation of Psychopathology in Relatives of Patients Diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer”. She also presented her master’s thesis as a poster presentation at the 54th National Psychiatry Congress held in Izmir.
During her education at Işık University, she did an internship at Erenköy and Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospitals. In the last year of her graduate education, she provided psychological counseling services to adults who applied to Işık University Psychological Counseling Center within the scope of supervision training.
In 2015, within the Turkish Psychologists Association, She received Neuropsychological Assessment Tests Training given by Specialist Psychologist Şükriye Akça Kalem. After the theoretical training, she made her evaluations by applying neuropsychological tests to the patients during her compulsory internship in the ÇAPA-Neurology Department.
She worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Bezmialem Vakıf University Hospital between 2017-2021. She worked for a very diverse and wide audience by serving in inpatient services and outpatient clinics. During his 4-year working life here, individual therapies, group therapies, psychological assessment and evaluation tests were applied intensively.
In addition, she can provide psychotherapy in English for foreign clients.
