She graduated from Doğuş University, Department of Psychology in English, and then completed her MSc in Clinical Psychology with Thesis. She wrote her thesis on “Childhood Traumas and the Relationship between Self-Compassion Level and Difficulty in Emotion Regulation”. She was entitled to study at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland with the scholarship provided by the school during the 6-month period of her master’s degree. She completed her family counseling training at Marmara University with 300 hours of theory, 120 hours of practice and 30 hours of supervision.
During her undergraduate education, sh e completed her internship at Humanite Medicine and Psychiatry Center under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sedat Özkan. Also during her undergraduate course, While working as Dr. Engin Arık’s research assistant, she completed another internship at Istanbul University Capa Faculty of Medicine for one year, accompanied by leading psychiatrists in the field.
She has been interested in music since her childhood. She played the violin in different orchestras and took part in many concerts in Turkey and abroad. She participated in the “BridgingRhythms” program organized in Germany as part of the Turkey – Germany Exchange Program by playing the violin.
Since her internship years, she has worked as a psychologist in various institutions including international kindergartens (Pingus English International Kindergarten, My Gym Preschool, World Children’s Academy Kindergartens).
While working with children and families in these institutions, she prepared monthly bulletins in Turkish and English. She conducted various studies with children, applied tests and followed their progress according to the test results.
Then, she worked as a clinical psychologist at RubiHealth Medical Center. She conducted sessions with her clients under individual supervision.
She organized seminars for parents and teachers in the institutions she worked for. Some of the subjects she taught; positive discipline practices are in the form of borderline, filial therapy, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder in children.
She continues to carry out psychotherapy studies with children and young adults, parents.
