Starting school is a very important event for every child. It is both anxiety, fear and excitement in all its aspects. The more a child is prepared for school, the more excited and positive feelings he can start school. If he is not ready for school, school can be a scary and undesirable place for him, and he can develop negative feelings towards himself.
Being ready for school requires having all the mental and emotional skills required for school. A child who has these skills can successfully fulfill what is expected of him/her in school. In order for a child to be ready for school, he/she must have sufficient skills in the areas of mental, language, social, emotional, physical, mathematics (number recognition, increase-decrease, sequencing-pattern), science (induction, deduction, cause-effect relationship, problem solving), sound recognition, fine motor, attention, memory and self-care.
In order for your child to develop positive attitudes towards school, he/she needs to be ready. Helping him/her in this regard, determining in which areas he/she is ready and in which areas he/she needs support is important for your child to have a healthy education-training life.
Whether your child is psychomotor and cognitively of school age is evaluated by experts through various performance tests.
