Psy. Psych. Merve Suma BERBEROGLU

She graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Psychology in 2013. She completed her master’s degree at Üsküdar University with her thesis on “The Difference in Schema Activation of Depression and Anxiety Disorder Patients”. She presented her master’s thesis as a poster presentation at the 9th International Congress of Cognitive Therapies in Cluj-Napoca. She is still continuing her doctoral studies at Üsküdar University.

After her undergraduate education, she did an internship at Bezmialem Vakıf University between 2013-2014. Between 2014-2021, she worked in the inpatient service and outpatient clinic of the Bezmialem University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. She has worked in the fields of psychological testing practices, individual therapy, family and couple therapy. In addition to adults, she worked with children and their families in the Department of Pediatric Hematology – Oncology between 2014 and 2016. Between 2021-2022, he performed individual therapy, family and couple therapy and psychological testing at Liv Hospital Ulus and Liv Hospital Vadistanbul Hospital. She has done obesity surgery pre-op and post-op psychological evaluations and therapies at Liv Hospital. She also worked with the hospital’s organ transplant team. She gave presentations to corporate companies and worked on job stress.

She participated in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy trainings held at Bezmialem Vakıf University, Department of Psychiatry. She completed the Family and Couples Therapy training given by Dr. Murat Dokur. At Rorschach and Projective Tests Association She received projective tests training from Associate Prosesor Dr. İrem Erdem Atak and did individual supervision work. She still continues her training and supervision studies on Self Psychology. It applies the Rorschach test, thematic perception test, personality tests, intelligence tests and neuropsychological tests. He is a member of the International Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology (IAPSP).
