Psy. Gizem AKSU ORS

She completed her undergraduate education as a high honor student at the Department of Psychology at Istanbul University. He completed his MSc in Clinical Psychology at Işık University Child Adolescent Clinical Psychology sub-field with his thesis titled “Examination of the Mediator Role of Negative Automatic Thoughts in the Relationship Between Bullying Behavior of 12-15 Years Old Adolescents and the Psychological Control Perceived by Their Parents” as a high honor student and received the title of Specialist Clinical Psychologist.

During her undergraduate education, she completed her internships at Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital, Istanbul University Capa Medical Faculty Psychiatry Clinic and various kindergartens. During her graduate education, she did internship at various counseling centers and Istanbul Institute of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

During her residency training at Işık University Child Adolescent Clinical Psychology Department, she received Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy training and conducted individual psychotherapy sessions with children and adolescents under supervision at Işık University Clinical Practice and Psychological Counseling Center.

In addition to working as a school psychologist at Uğur Schools for a while, she carried out both psychological testing and therapy studies as a specialist clinical psychologist at the Istanbul Institute of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where other neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders, especially autism, are observed.

Gizem Aksu Örs provides play therapy for children, individual psychotherapy for adolescents and psychological counseling for families. She works online and face to face.

She is a member of the Turkish Psychological Association.
