Biyografi

After completing his high school education in Istanbul, he graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Psychology in 2017.

Melike Kalkan, who was actively involved in voluntary work for children in various associations during her undergraduate education, worked as an intern in various kindergartens and psychological counseling centers in order to gain experience in the field. She also completed her internship by working in the inpatient service of Bakırköy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital.

She studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Clinical Psychology Department of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University and conducted individual psychotherapy sessions under supervision. She completed her master’s degree in clinical psychology with her thesis titled “Examination of the Predictive Effects of Family Unpredictability, Parental Attitudes and Emotion Regulation Difficulties on Personality Disorders in Late Adolescence”.

After 450 hours of theoretical training and supervision at Üsküdar University Continuing Education Center, she received the title of Family Counselor.

She has organized various trainings and workshops for students in the field of psychology.

After working in various counseling centers and kindergartens, she last worked as a school psychologist at Ocean College between 2021-2023.

Stanford-Binet Intelligence Test, Moxo Attention Test, Ankara Developmental Screening Inventory (AGTE), Frostig Visual Perception Test, Metropolitan School Readiness Test, Peabody Receptive Language Test, Gessel Mental Development Test, Burdon Attention Test, Goodenough Harris Picture Drawing Test, Porteus Intelligence Test, Sentence Completion Test and many clinical scales and inventories.

Melike Kalkan provides play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy for children, individual psychotherapy for adolescents and psychological counseling services for families.

She has been continuing her career as a Clinical Psychologist at Medalyon Psychiatry Center since October 2023.
