Biyografi

She completed her undergraduate education in Abant İzzet Baysal University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology in 2015. During her undergraduate education, She completed her internship in the inpatient adult and pediatric service at Bakırköy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital and conducted observations and research on psychotic patients. He assisted university professors in his undergraduate education and contributed to her research. She started her career in a private institution by providing counseling to families and children in need of psychological support, and continued to carry out individual therapy in the counseling center. After starting her career, she provided psychosocial support to disadvantaged groups of the society as a volunteer therapist in various NGOs dealing with adolescent and adult psychotherapy. She completed the Haliç University Clinical Psychology program with the first place in the department and wrote her thesis on ‘Examination of the Psychological Status of the Children of Syrian Immigrant Families Living in Turkey through Some Variables’. In addition, she joined the EMDR HAP Volunteer group and provided voluntary therapy support to healthcare workers and patient families who experienced trauma during the pandemic process.

Mainly working Areas

Trauma, complex trauma, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, phobia, grief, migration, depression, panic attacks, adjustment disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders. She adopts an eclectic approach by using Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Schema Therapy and EMDR therapy in her therapies.

Merve Yildiz; She is a member of Turkish Psychological Association, EMDR Association, and EMDR Trauma Recovery Group.
