Biyografi

Ecem Atabay was born on January 1, 1989, in Istanbul. She graduated in 2015 from Beykent University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology, where she was admitted in 2010 with a 100% success scholarship. In 2020, she completed her thesis-based master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Gelişim University’s Institute of Social Sciences. Her master’s thesis focused on “The Relationship Between Burnout and Job Satisfaction: A Study on Kindergarten Teachers.”

In 2015, she worked for one year in the field of addiction at the well-established Balıklı Rum Hospital. Between 2016 and 2019, she served as Assistant Principal and Clinical Psychologist at Etki Schools. As of April 2019, she has been working as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at the Edirne Yeşilay Counseling Center.

Her areas of expertise include addiction, family relationships (counseling for relatives of individuals with addiction), depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality disorders (Paranoid, Antisocial, Borderline, Bipolar, Histrionic, Narcissistic, Avoidant, Schizoid, and Schizotypal), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and crisis management. She has been providing therapy in these areas for nearly 10 years using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing techniques.
